How Children Learn to Love Themselves
I am inviting you to one of the most important pieces of sacred work I think I’ll ever bring into this world – and that any of you who are parents, guardians, or have influence with children get to do in this lifetime – teaching our children how to love themselves…
- To stay true to themselves in world of social media and cultural systems that pressure them to conform and perform.
- To transform negative self talk into patience and compassion.
- To only choose loving respectful relationships, always.
- And so much more…
This has always been part of the mission of The Path of Self Love School, which I founded based on the self-love work I’ve taught for over a decade. And this year, we are taking a stand to support those who care for and love the children in their life… to teach them how to cultivate an inner foundation of courage, compassion, clarity, and confidence using the power of self-love… which is not just self-esteem.
Which brings me to the reason for this letter… it’s an invitation for parents, teachers, guardians, grandparents, aunts, uncles, godparents, big sisters and brothers – any one who would like to know more about how you can guide your children to successfully navigate today’s world with all its chaos and pressures. We sincerely hope you’ll join us for a free class we’re offering on Tuesday April 17th.
It’s called: How Children Learn to Love Themselves.
When you click on the link above, we’ll enroll you in this free class, send you the access details and we’ll keep you in the loop about what the Path of Self Love School is up to and how it can support you — which means you will receive updates and inspiration from The Path of Self Love. My intention is to support you to shape this world, your life and the lives of those you love with the self-love tools and wisdom it’s taken me a decade to create.
Why we are holding this class and taking this stand for teaching our kids self-love, not just self esteem:
ONE: A lack of self-love is at the root of almost every challenge we face in our lives, but most people don’t know what self-love truly is, and what the lack of it looks like in their lives.
TWO: You can’t teach or model what you don’t have language for or embody yourself – our kids watch our actions more than they listen to our words.
THREE: Self-esteem is not enough – it’s only 1/10th of a strong inner foundation. The over focus self esteem – without the other 9 components of self love is creating levels of stress on our kids we never faced.
FOUR: We can’t always be with our children to guide them to make good choices. But when we can teach them self-trust, combined with self empowerment and self compassion (three of the 10 kinds of self-love), they will have the inner resilience and clarity to stay true to themselves, no matter what.
This introductory class is an opportunity for you to learn practical, tangible self-love practices you can incorporate into your daily life—and techniques for teaching the children you love to do the same.
Imagine a world rooted in love, where all beings felt safe, heard, enough, loved, and whole. That is the power of self-love. I look forward to sharing this wisdom and tools with you.
About The Path of Self Love School…
The Path of Self Love School is a social impact organization committed to making the practice, path, and tools of self-love accessible to all people, so that within three generations… we can create a world in which all children are born connected to love and stay connected to that love, no matter what they face, because they know how to source love from within. We offer classes, coaching, intensives, and retreats both online and virtually, that have reached over 35,000 people worldwide.
We also have trained Self Love Guides on 6 continents through our training and certification program for those who desire to use the self-love processes, assessments and techniques in their work, as well as in their families and for themselves.
We collaborate with other organizations to bring this ‘self love medicine’ to all people – including Girls Inc., inner city schools, high schools and middle schools, prison systems, colleges, and spiritual centers.
