What is Self Love? The 10 Branches of Self Love

The 10 branches of self-love are a model and teaching that Christine Arylo created to expand our understanding of self-love at a deeper level. After two decades of research started by Arylo when she found herself asking the questions,

  • What is self-love?
  • How do you know if you love yourself?
  • What is the difference between self-love and self-esteem?
  • And how do you practically ‘do’ it?

Arylo found that the answers people gave her were lofty, insufficient, superficial and not grounded in practical wisdom or depth.

Over the span 15 years, Arylo researched, investigated, experimented with, taught and created a body of work known as the Path of Self-Love – which includes three books. The self love and emotional/mental wellbeing and resiliency methods have trained therapists, educators, wellbeing & healthcare professionals, social workers and more on 6 continents.

In this teaching video answers the question, What is Self Love? and shares the 10 branches of self-love, which breaks down self-love into 10 different kinds – including self-care, self-compassion, self-acceptance, self-empowerment, self-expression and more. Shedding light on new insights such as:

Do I Love Myself?” is not a yes/no question – the question is “Where am I strong in self-love and where am I weak?

A person can have high self-esteem and low self love.
